Good afternoon,
I have not posted in a bit as some consistency and routine have set in and everyone has been busy adjusting. Hopefully, this finds everyone well as we wrap up what has undoubtedly been my most memorable school year.
At last night’s Board of Education meeting, graduation was set for June 21, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. This date was set so that it is after the social number gathering restrictions have been lifted as outlined by the Ad Astra Reopening Plans for Kansas.
Undoubtedly, there will be some unique requirements for this year’s attendees, which I will outline as we get closer to the date. We will do our best to ensure that all attendees abide by the Social Distancing Guidelines that have been established. Unfortunately, with significant crowd size, there will be instances where patrons will be in closer proximity than recommended. We would like to see everyone attend that wants to be there. However, if you have concerns for safety or well-being, please do not attend the ceremony but celebrate with the family before or afterward.
For those of you considering attending our graduation ceremony and have to travel, please be cognizant of and abide by any local health or travel recommendations/restrictions that have been mandated by your local health agencies. If you are not feeling well, please stay home.
If you are in attendance, I look forward to seeing you.
Congratulations to the 2020 graduating seniors of Linn and Hanover Schools! You certainly will not be forgotten!
