There will be an FBLA member party on Monday, March 1st at the Washington bowling alley at 7:00 p.m. There will be no school transportation and members will be expected to pay their own way. Contact Rory or Connor by Friday, Febr. 26th if you plan to attend.
FBLA members are reminded that they are to sell their pom-poms and face stickers as soon as possible. Remember though: NO items other than concession items and shirt sales sponsored by KSHSAA can be sold at Regional, Sub-state or State competitions.
Attention ALL students: The soccer goals you earned by collecting box tops are on their way to our school. Tomorrow will be the first day of the Box Top Challenge! Be the group that collects the MOST Box Tops by Febr. 24. Every group has a chance to win. Watch for Box Tops on grocery items at home. Tell your parents, grandparents, other family members and even your neighbors to SAVE BOX TOPS FOR YOUR CLASS! Competition groups are: K& 7, 8; 1, 2 & 10; 3 & 9; 4 & 11; and 5, 6 and 12!
Staff and Students: Be careful about where you park. Handicap parking, yellow lines, limited access parking areas, etc. are being monitored and offenders stand a good chance of being sited for parking violations by the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
Lost and Found: A black pair of penny loafer type shoes are in the front office. They are size 51/2 and darling. Brand name: Arizona. They have been in the gym for several weeks. If they are yours, come claim them by March 26th.
Jr/Sr parents will meet at 5:30 this Sunday, March 28th, in the high school cafeteria. This meeting will be to set up committees for the After-Prom Party.
Students interested in taking Driver's Ed this June, come and sign up in the office and pick up an application. It is Linn's turn to host this Driver's Ed session. Transportation for students from Hanover will be provided daily.
The following FCCLA members need to bring five (5) nonperishable food items to school for the Souper Bowl of Caring Scavenger Hunt: Shelby Jueneman, Shoni VanLaningham, Kim Doebele, Jenna Kruse, Ashley Rengstorf, Kendra Zabokrtsky, Sydney Pralle, Erika Kruse, Emily Meyer, and Destunie Swearingen.
The forensics bus will leave at 7:00 a.m. sharp tomorrow morning and head for the Marysville Forensics Meet. Students: be sure to bring a lunch.

Regional BB - HHS boys play at Baileyville at 6:00. Our opponent is Axtell.
Sportsmanship guidelines from KSHSAA that we all need to follow prior to, during, and after game competitions:
a. Be courteous to all (participants, coaches, officials, staff and fans)
b. Know the rules, abide by and respect the official's decisions
c. Win with character and lose with dignity
d. Display appreciation for good performance regardless of the team
e. Exercise self-control and reflect positively upon yourself, team and school
f. Permit only positive sportsmanlike behavior to reflect on your school or its activities
Regional admission to games is $4.00 for adults and $3.00 for students (K-12). No TVL passes are honored. Only select individuals are on pass sheets from the school.
Additional guidelines: Any banners or signs must be attached or fastened to the facility only with the approval of the tournament manager or, if held by one person, as long as they are not personal, negative, unsportsmanlike, or vulgar. Signs may not exceed the 4' X 12' size. There can be no parading with the signs. There will be no run-throughs. Helium filled balloons or confetti will not be allowed at any site. Remember: "Sportsmanship is good citizenship in action!"
Hanover's forensics team placed 5th in the TVL Forensics Meet hosted by Clifton-Clyde yesterday. In poetry, Nicole Spencer placed third and Emily White, second, to qualify for State Champs. Ashley Rengstorf placed 6th in prose, qualifying for State Festival. Mark Zarybnicky placed fourth in extemp, and Sydney Pralle placed fourth in oration. Congratulations and keep up the good work!

Congratulations to the following spelling bee winners in Saturday's competition in the Washington County Spelling Bee: Tyler Bonser - 1st grader, 5th place; Jonah Weber - 2nd grader, 2nd place; Joanna Weber - 5th grader, 2nd place; Emily Jensen - 8th grader, 5th place. Super job!
Super job to Mrs. Strnad and the forensics team members who hosted a marvelous, well organized and well executed forensics meet on Saturday. Seventeen schools and over 200 contestants had a remarkable day. The judges did a great job and we are most appreciative of their efforts and YOURS!
High school cheerleaders and Mrs. Walling: Excellent job with our youth and teaching them their dances which were well done Friday evening! It was a delight to watch all perform.

Regional BB at 7:00 in our gym. Hanover girls play Axtell. One game only will be played. No TVL passes will be honored at Regional, Sub-state or State playoff games. Only those on pass lists will have free entrance. (Juniors who are working in the concession stand must be on a pass list as well.)
Forensics students will leave promptly at 6:30 a.m. tomorrow for the TVL Forensics Meet held in Clifton-Clyde. All activity slips should be turned in to Mrs. Strnad this morning.
Students: Please be sure to take home the flyers from Argonne National Laboratory that were handed to you first hour by your teachers. We will have a few people associated with this lab in our classrooms and the building today through Thursday doing some work for us. If you have questions, please contact me.
