Hello Bulldogs!!  Welcome back to the Principal’s Corner.  We are now all back from Spring Break.  I hope everyone got to enjoy some time together, finding adventure, and getting closer to those you care about.  For us at Linn Public this break is really our last major break until the end of the year, and we will be moving very quickly to the end of the year and May 18.

Coming next week, we will have a ton going on.  The first event is Thursday, April 5.  Linn will be hosting TVL forensics on this day.  This means that students will not be having school, as we are bringing a huge number of students in, and we will be using multiple rooms throughout the day.  We are hoping our students perform incredibly well, as this is a great opportunity for all of the students in the TVL to come together and compete.

As big as TVL forensics will be, the following Saturday will be just as big.  We will have our annual prom on April 7th.  The junior class has been deep into preparations, and the week prior will mean that the old gym will be on lock down as they prepare it for the evening.  The night will follow the normal schedule, with the promenade at the beginning and a meal, followed by the dance and then after prom.  We are looking forward to a wonderful evening, with students having a fun and safe time.

We will also see our FFA taking off to Beloit on Wednesday to continue their great year at competitions.  I am with many others when I say just how amazed and impressed I am by this group.  They have put in so much effort, and the wins they have compiled is just another testament to their hard work and talent.

One major change is that we are moving Kindergarten Round Up.  We are moving this event to April 12 due to the number of events in the school this week we will not be able to have all of the facilities up to shape for this special night for students and families.  Again Kindergarten Round Up will be held April 12.

Also, don’t forget that we will not be having school this coming Monday.

As I close out this article I would like to thank the many community members that have been putting in time and effort on the Linn track.  Greg Bott came in with a vision of hosting a major event on our track, showing off the glory that is Linn.  I must say how impressed I am at all that he has put together to get the track into the kind of shape it is now.  Thank you to everyone who is helping.  It really makes me so proud to get to see so many people of the community looking to improve.  I would also like to remind everyone that our community service day will be April 25.  Please go to the Linn homepage and complete the link so that we can help you out as best we can.

Thank you

It’s a great day to be a Bulldog!
