Hi, I am Connie Herrs. I grew up northeast of Bremen, KS. I graduated from Marysville High School in 1987. In 1989 I graduated from Cloud County Community College with an Associate Arts Degree. In 1991 I graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. In 1990 I married Dean Herrs who farms west of Linn. We have three children: Chelsey, who is the kindergarten teacher at Clifton Clyde; Tyler, who is an agronomist/crop scout with Duitsman Crop Consulting; and Lindsey, who works in the business department at Washington County Hospital. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family at our pond/cabin, walking, gardening, and baking. I have been working for U.S.D. 223 for 24 years.  I taught kindergarten at Hanover for 6 years; 2nd grade in Linn for 1 year; was the Kindergarten Aide for 10 years, taught 3rd and 4th grade Reading and Spelling classes and Title 1 Aide and DLN Facilitator for 3 years, and this is my 6th year of teaching 3rd grade. Mrs. Cindy Geer and I work together closely as she teaches my 3rd grade math while I teach her 4th grade reading.
