Description: Science concepts are intergrated into thematic units. 
Learning/Developmental Goals: The course is designed to prepare students for the Kansas State Assessment given in upper grades. 
Learning Outcome: The student will demonstrate mastery in the following units with formal and informal assessments in addition to teacher observation.

Unit 2: Animals

Unit 3: Plants
Plant parts Plant needs  Plants change & grow

Unit 4: Habitats
Where do animals & plants live & why

Unit 5: Day & Night
Difference between day & night sky

Unit 6: Earth's Resources
Rocks & water Conservation of natural resources

Unit 7: Weather & the Seasons
What is weather?  What are the seasons?  Measurement of weather

Evaluation of Progress:

No standard letter or numerical grades are assigned in Kindergarten.
