College Speech on the Horizon!
A college-level speech class taught by Ms. Strnad through Cloud County Community College will be offered to sophomores, juniors, and seniors for college credit during the 2019-20 school term.

In 2017-2018, the USD223 board of education approved the change from a full-year speech course for freshmen to a one semester college-level class in order to offer an opportunity for high school students to earn college credit and eliminate drive time to other college speech venues in the evenings or summer months.

Although all students will be required to take speech one semester to fulfill the district requirement, the college-level class through CCCC is an additional perk for students hoping to put one more introductory course behind them before packing for post-high school studies.

Watch for updates as syllabus information becomes available from CCCC and Ms. Strnad.
